Most of marble staircases have several things in common: the stairs are scratched and damaged, the risers are dirty and nosing are often broken or damaged. They must be renovated.
Repairing the nosing
The first step in the renovation of a staircase consists of renewing the nosing. This is realized with a dyed resin to which small stones can be added when it concerns a granite for example. It Is impossible to return to the original state but these reparations are often invisible and durable.
Grinding the steps and risers
The main operation during renovation of a staircase remains the grinding of the steps, risers and nosing to retrieve a noble material, without scratches and stripes.
The elements are then diamond polished and polished by means of crystallization as is the case for this project.
Renovation of a hallway
For this grinding project in Neuilly, the entrance hall and the staircase were connected. The hallway was therefore renovated in the same way as the staircase.
